Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Surprise, AZ

Dr. Logan Sardzinski at Surprise Oral & Implant Surgery
Dr. Logan Sardzinski is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and safe surgical care to patients of all ages. Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dr. Sardzinski grew up around dentistry through his father, a general dentist, which gave him an early appreciation for both the profession and the importance of meaningful relationships between dentists and their patients. His own path to oral and maxillofacial surgery was shaped by his interests in science, research, teaching, and patient care.

Education and Training

Dr. Sardzinski earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from St. Olaf College, where he conducted research focused on organic chemistry synthesis. During college, he also participated in a month-long dental mission trip to Peru, providing dental care to underserved communities. These experiences strengthened his interest in combining science with a career centered on patient care.

He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics. While in dental school, Dr. Sardzinski participated in research investigating non-syndromic orofacial clefting and completed a dental externship at the Central Iowa Veterans Affairs Hospital. He also received awards from the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology in recognition of his interest and achievement in dental anesthesia.

Following dental school, Dr. Sardzinski completed a one-year oral surgery fellowship in the Department of Surgical Specialties at the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in Lincoln, Nebraska. During this time, he provided oral surgery procedures and sedation services to dental school patients under the direct mentorship of faculty surgeons. He then returned to Iowa for his four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Over the course of his four years of residency, he provided outpatient deep sedation and general anesthesia for more than 1,000 patients, including more than 100 pediatric sedation cases. He maintains BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications and is currently board eligible with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, pursuing certification with both organizations.

His training in orthognathic surgery and cleft-related reconstruction allows him to care for patients with a broad range of surgical needs.
